A Unique, Customer-Driven Company

Ron Lambert founded Alongside Management in 1989 (we changed our name to Yukon in 2005). A former pharmaceutical sales executive, Ron wanted to create a sales negotiation training company that concentrated on practical, real-world situations and customized them to each client.

Ron Lambert's vision for Alongside Management - and later, Yukon - included the following:

  • Focus on real-world applications while sprinkling in a small dose of theory.
  • Customize content to each client's industry.
  • Use experienced sales executives to conduct training sessions (each Yukon master negotiator has at least 25 years of sales experience and has been a vice president of sales).
  • Reinforce learning after classroom training.

While we've refined our programs over the years, Ron Lambert's original ideas remain intact. Our approach and our seasoned master negotiators continue to drive Yukon's success worldwide.

A Wealth of Experience

Before founding Yukon, Ron Lambert directed customer relations and negotiated major contracts for the $500 million pharmaceutical division of A.H. Robins Inc. and served as senior vice president for Data Systems Corporation. He has conducted over 500 customized negotiation workshops throughout the world for such companies as M&M Mars, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, General Electric and Nextel. He has also helped clients conduct real multimillion-dollar negotiations.
